Privacy Policy

Volt & Velo (“we,” “us”), published by Type 5 Marketing LLC, respects your privacy. This policy explains what limited information we collect and how it is used. We are a content website, not a store or an account-based service, so we collect very little.

Information we collect

• Contact form. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email and message you submit, so we can reply. We use it only to respond to you and do not sell it.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (pages viewed, general location, device type). This helps us improve the content. Analytics data is collected through cookies and processed by Google.
• Affiliate tracking. When you click a product link, the retailer (for example Amazon) may set a cookie that credits us with a resulting sale. This lets our affiliate partners attribute a purchase to our site; it does not change your price. See our affiliate disclosure.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and reliability.

Cookies

Cookies on this site fall into two buckets: analytics cookies (Google Analytics) that help us measure usage, and affiliate cookies set by retailers when you click a product link so a sale can be credited. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though analytics and affiliate attribution may not function.

How we use information

We use the limited information above to reply to your messages, to understand and improve the site in aggregate, and to earn the affiliate commissions that fund the site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have specifically asked us to.

Third parties

Third parties whose services we use — principally Google (Analytics) and Amazon (Associates) — process data under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing Google’s and Amazon’s privacy policies for details of how they handle data.

Your choices

You can control cookies through your browser, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, and simply not submit the contact form if you prefer not to share those details. If you would like us to delete a message you sent us, email info@voltandvelo.com and we will do so.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
