SASIKEIBIKE 20″ Folding Fat-Tire Review: 1,040 Wh for About $700
A 52 V 20 Ah pack is the biggest battery we list, on a folding 20x4 frame with front and rear suspension. The watt-hours are real — so is the weight nobody will publish.

What it is
A 20-inch folding fat-tire e-bike built around a 52 V 20 Ah battery — 1,040 Wh, the largest capacity in our registry. It pairs that with a 750 W rated (1500 W peak) motor claiming 96 N·m of torque, 20 x 4.0-inch tires, front and rear suspension, 7-speed gearing, 180 mm dual disc brakes and a color LCD, with UL 2849 certification on the electrical system.
On paper that is a lot of bike for around $700, and the headline number is genuinely verifiable rather than a mileage claim. What SASIKEIBIKE does not publish is the weight, and on a bike that folds, that omission is the whole conversation.
1,040 watt-hours is the reason to buy it
Volts multiplied by amp-hours gives you the tank: 52 x 20 is 1,040 Wh. That is more than the discontinued Sohamo S3’s 960 Wh top trim, half again as much as the 692 Wh Heybike Ranger S, and nearly four times the 281 Wh isinwheel U3.
The math: at our standard 20 Wh per mile planning figure for throttle-heavy riding on fat tires, 1,040 Wh is about 52 miles. SASIKEIBIKE claims 40–70 on pedal assist, and the useful thing about that range is that the bottom of it is honest — a listing that admits 40 miles is telling you something a listing that only says “70” is not.
What that changes day to day is planning overhead. A 20-mile round trip on a 360 Wh bike is a ride you think about: which assist level, is there an outlet at the other end. The same trip here is a ride you take twice and still have margin. That margin is also what makes it our hill pick, because climbing can cost two to three times the flat-ground figure while you are on the grade.
The weight nobody will publish
This is the honest weakness, and it is not a small one. SASIKEIBIKE does not state a weight anywhere on the listing. A 1,040 Wh pack is itself heavy, and comparable 20x4 folders carrying far less battery run 70–75 lb — the Heybike Mars 2.0 is 75 lb at 600 Wh, the Ranger S 72 lb at 692 Wh.
We are not going to invent a figure for a bike we have not weighed. What we will say is that nothing about the specification suggests it is light, and that “folding” on a bike like this means fits in a car trunk, not carry it to a third-floor flat. If you need to lift it regularly, buy the isinwheel U3 instead and accept the smaller battery, or read our weight guide first. If it lives in a garage and goes in a car, the unknown costs you nothing.
Dual suspension at this price is unusual
Most value fat-tire bikes give you a front fork and call it suspension. This one has front and rear, and combined with 20 x 4.0 tires at low pressure that is a genuinely comfortable setup over broken pavement, gravel and packed snow.
The cost is efficiency and complexity. A rear shock adds pivots to maintain, and soft big tires cost watt-hours per mile — which is precisely why the 20 Wh-per-mile planning figure applies here rather than the 10–15 a narrow-tired road bike can hit. What to check before you order
The frame is not a step-through. It is a conventional mid-fold frame with a top tube. If a low standover is the reason you are shopping folding fat-tire bikes, the Aipas A2 is the step-through answer, at 614 Wh.
No e-bike class is stated. SASIKEIBIKE publishes assist levels and a top-end motor spec but does not label the bike Class 1, 2 or 3. If your key car-free route posts class rules, that is a question to resolve before ordering rather than after — see our classes and laws guide.
It is a 52 V system, not 48 V. That matters when you buy a spare pack or a replacement charger: a 48 V charger will not correctly charge a 52 V battery, and mismatched charging is a real fire risk rather than a theoretical one. Charging takes 6–8 hours. That is the arithmetic of a big pack on a standard charger, not a defect. Plan on an overnight-equivalent charge rather than a top-up between errands.
Certification, and what it is worth
SASIKEIBIKE states UL 2849 certification for the complete electrical system, with an IPX6-rated battery compartment and an integrated lock. The CPSC’s micromobility guidance recommends exactly that — systems certified to UL 2849, cells to UL 2271 — and on a pack this size the advice carries more weight, not less. A 1,040 Wh battery is a large amount of stored energy to bring indoors.
Certification is not a license to be careless. Use the supplied charger, never charge unattended or overnight, charge somewhere that is not your only exit from a room, and retire any pack that swells, smells or runs hot. Our battery care guide has the full routine.
What it costs to run
A full 1,040 Wh charge costs about 21 cents at the current US average residential electricity rate with ~90% charging efficiency — roughly the price of a mouthful of gas-station coffee, for something like 50 miles of riding. Who should buy it — and who should skip
Buy it if watt-hours per dollar is the thing you are optimizing, your route has real elevation or real distance, you want fat tires and suspension for bad surfaces, and the bike will live somewhere you do not have to carry it from. Nothing else we list carries this much energy for this money.
Skip it if you need a published weight before committing, if you need a low step-through frame, if you need a documented e-bike class for a path with posted rules, or if most of your riding is short and on pavement — in which case the Jasion Roamer is lighter on your wallet and far better equipped for road commuting, at half the battery.
